Meet Your Top-Rated Arlington Dentist
Dr. Akmal completed his bachelor’s in Psychology at The George Washington University . After which, he pursued his DDS degree at The Baltimore College of Dental Surgery . He continued on to earn a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), where he learned advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures. During this time he found his passion for the surgical aspect of dentistry, and completed an additional 3 years of surgical training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery, at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Akmal’s compassion and understanding of the fears and anxiety of a visit to the dentist in conjunction with his background in Psychology make him an excellent caregiver. He will put your fears at ease, and help you to understand the issues with your teeth, and how he will work to solve them. His approach to dentistry revolves around a strong relationship with his patients, a strong emphasis on patient understanding of their disease process, and active participation in their own treatment.

Common Dental Emergencies
A simple toothache may mean a lot of things. Your teeth may be decaying, there may be damage to the root, or an infection may be spreading. Knowing the cause can help in finding the solution and prevent further damage.
Tooth Pain
Wisdom Tooth Complication
Impacted third molar or “wisdom teeth” may be a pain, especially if it interrupts your daily activities, including eating. Determining that it is your wisdom teeth that are causing your problems will make it easier for you and your dentist to diagnose and treat the issue.
Broken or Chipped Tooth
Accidents that present force to your teeth can make them crack or chip, or worse, fracture your jaw. Whether the impact caused minor or major cracks on your oral cavity, it is imperative to seek a dental consult to make sure that there is no other damage done.
Dr. Akmal is excited to meet you and discuss your dental needs. Call our office today to schedule the first step toward your healthiest smile.
